Sponsored in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural CouncilThis year the Bridgewater Arts Council is pleased to present the 2010 Arts & Music Festival, funded in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. This is the first year that the Bridgewater Cultural Council will be sponsoring this event. On Sunday, July 4, 2010, the Bridgewater Arts & Music Festival will be held immediately following the parade on the grounds of Bridgewater State College in front of Boyden Hall (also known as "The Quad"). We would like to thank Bridgewater State College for donating their beautiful grounds and for providing their grounds crew, electricians, and additional staffing to make this Arts & Music Festival a success in 2010.

GET INVOLVED!

  • Volunteering - We are seeking individuals interested in helping out at the art show or on the Quad the day of the festival (Call Nora directly at 617-775-0868)
  • Participating - We are seeking performance artists, artists, vendors, and crafters interested in demonstrating and selling their arts or crafts.
  • Art Show - There will be a juried art show this year, judges are being invited in the next few weeks and will be announced at a later date. Further details to be announced beginning March 15, 2010.
  • Poetry Open Mic & Slam - Details coming!

REGISTER FOR THE EVENT (registration by June 1, 2010):

Click the link below to register for the Arts and Music Festival. Vendors, crafters, artisans, artists, should complete the online form and submit it immediately. You will be responded to within 24 hours of submitting your form online and your space will be reserved. Space is allocated on first-come, first-serve basis. Cost for vendors and artists selling their works or goods, is $20.00 for a 10x10 reserved space. You need to bring your own canopy, table, and chair. Note: Returning participants from 2009 receive a $5.00 discount for 2010. Registration due on or before June 1, 2010 and payment is required no later than June 15, 2010.

There is no charge for artists to display their work and to enter the art show, one piece for submission per artist please, all works accepted: glass, canvas, paint, chalk, pencil, etc. Artists pay no fee to display their piece in the art show, but there is a $20.00 fee is you want to reserve a 10 x 10 space to sell your other pieces and artwork.

The Machine Jessee Green will perform a chainsaw scultpure display, sculpting a piece entitled, The Brickman, as a homage to the historical brick trade of Bridgewater, this sculputure will remain in the Town of Bridgwater as a gift from the Project Eco-Art Massachusetts
